SUMMARY:(bilingual!) Workshop: Bi+Sexualität und Bi-Feindlichkeit. Argumentation und Umgang mit Anfeindungen
DESCRIPTION:[deutsch unten] \nIDAHOBITA* Bi+ Workshop\, 18th May 11am – 3pm\, KAZ e.V.\, Bürgerstraße 15\, 37073 Göttingen \nBi+ Sexualities\, Bi-phobia & Bi-Erasure – How to counter\, argue and learn to deal with hostility \nBi-erasure\, i.e. the lack of awareness of bi+ in society\, is one of the major problems facing the bi+ community\, while bi-phobia in mainstream society and within the LGBTIQA* community is the other major problem. Even if it hasn’t happened to everyone\, hostility\, verbal abuse and passive or active aggression are still part of the bi+ reality. Confrontations range from small but hurtful comments made in passing\, to stupid hate comments online\, to verbal\, if not physical\, attacks in the street. In this workshop\, we want to explain the bi+sexual spectrum and the terms bi-erasure and bi-phobia on the one hand and learn about conflict situations from the findings of anti-racism/discrimination work on the other. We will look at strategies for counter/argumentation strategies and together we will develop our own strategies for dealing with bi+phobic situations and empower ourselves against biphobic confrontations! #BiEmpowerment \nThis workshop will be bilingual in English and German. Two members of BiPlus will be giving the workshop – they are not native English speakers\, but they will do their best! One of them also speaks Italian & Spanish. As we only have some of our material available in English\, some basic understanding of German is helpful. \nThe workshop is for free. Bi+ Workshop zum IDAHOBITA*\, 11-15 Uhr im KAZ e.V.\, Bürgerstraße 15\, 37073 Göttingen\nBi+ Sexualitäten & Bi-Feindlichkeit – Argumentation und Umgang mit Bi-Feindlichkeit und anderen Anfeindungen \nBi-erasure\, also die fehlende Wahrnehmung des Bi+ in der Gesellschaft ist das eine große Problem der Bi+Community\, die Bi-Feindlichkeit in der Mehrheitsgesellschaft und auch innerhalb der LGBTIQA*-Community die andere große Baustelle. Auch wenn dies nicht jeder*m schon passiert ist\, Anfeindungen\, Beschimpfungen und passive oder aktive Aggressivität sind nach wie vor Teil der Bi+Realität. Dabei reichen Konfrontationen von kleinen\, aber verletzenden Anmerkungen im Vorbeigehen oder im Nebensatz über dumme Hasskommentare im Netz bis zu verbalen\, wenn nicht auch physischen Angriffen auf der Straße. In diesem Workshop wollen wir einerseits das bi+sexuelle Spektrum und die Begriffe Bi-Erasure und Bi-Feindlichkeit erklären und andererseits aus Erkenntnissen der Antirassismus-/diskriminierungsarbeit über Konfliktsituationen lernen. Wir schauen uns Strategien zur Gegen-/Argumentation aus dem Kommunikationstraining an und werden gemeinsam eigene Strategien für uns entwickeln mit Bi+feindlichen Situationen umzugehen und uns wappnen gegen biphobische Konfrontationen! #BiEmpowerment \nDer Workshop ist offen für alle Menschen\, die sich auf dem bi+sexuellen Spekrum verorten\, egal ob geoutet oder nicht\, egal wo auf dem bi-/pan-Spektrum oder dabei nicht sicher und egal welche Labels oder ob überhaupt Labels verwendet werden. \n*dieser Workshop wird auf deutscher Lautsprache gehalten* Der Workshop ist kostenlos und findet von 11-15 Uhr im KAZ e.V.\, Bürgerstraße 15\, 37073 Göttingen statt.
